William Glen Offers Sacramento the Best Place to Buy a Special Gift

Founded by William Snyder and Glen Forbes in 1963, William Glen has grown from an 1,100-square-foot store selling gifts and candles to a spectacular 35,000-square-foot marketplace. With its wonderful selection (along with great service), it’s no wonder that the readers of Sacramento magazine have voted William Glen “Best Place to Buy a Special Gift” for four years running! In 1985, the William Glen Market was added, and has evolved into a café-market (now called The Bistro at William Glen) with indoor and outdoor seating. Another addition is William Glen Christmas & More, which offers extraordinary seasonal merchandise and the largest Department 56 collection in the country. Despite its tremendous growth, William Glen remains family owned.
